Proposed Revitalization Plan of
Central Police Station Compound
by The Hong Kong Jockey Club

中區警署
香港賽馬會的活化計劃

“Through The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Club will fund the HK$1.8 billion capital cost of renovating the disused 19th-century compound and transforming it into a heritage, arts, cultural, and tourism hub that will become a new iconic destination for Hong Kong.”

Can a landmark attraction for local residents and overseas visitors be created via HKJC’s plan? What do HK citizens really want from the various proposals, with voices of conservation of local culture and heritage getting louder in the past few years? How can demand of public space and original landscape be compatible with the financial demand to do all the restoration works?
