Invitation for participating the Discussion Session on “Chief Executive Mock Election Platform”

To all Members and Friends of The Professional Commons:

The coming CE election in March next year, in particular to the way how the candidates show their policy initiatives, will greatly determine the future of Hong Kong. As a local think-tank, The Professional Commons has released a 40-page long discussion paper namely “Chief Executive Mock Election Platform“, pioneering a comprehensive policy framework for the future development of Hong Kong. We hope to spark off further discussions between the public and candidates who are eager to serve the general communities in Hong Kong.

In belief of the pivotal influence of the policy framework prior to the candidate per se, in the first stage of our engagement exercise starting from July, we would like to solicit valuable views from the professional sectors and our PC members. We now invite our members and friends from different professions to share your views on our draft.

A discussion meeting would be held for receiving your comments and exchanging views. Details are as follow:

I read the document with great interest. In view of the world financial crisis which has undermined confidence in western financial instutions and fiat money, generated interest in gold as an alternative “currency” I sugest that HK should seize the opportunity to :

    1. make HK a gold trading centre for Asia,
    2. build a vault for storage of gold bullion for institutions and private individuals world wide, and
    3. Form a high power semi official organ with concrete timetable to study and propose measures to steps to lead to the formalation and implement of 1 & above.

If you are interested Ican provide details to support my proposals.
