Recent surveys of the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park show that around 1/4 of the corals have been destroyed over the past three months. At the current rate of destruction there will be no corals left by the end of the year. As the corals are the main reason Hoi Ha Wan was designated a Marine Park in the first place, is this the beginning of the end for one of Hong Kong’s premier ecological attractions?

Legislator Charles Mok and Professional Commons will co-host a press conference to to introduce the evidence of destruction, give background on major causes and address possible mitigation methods to retrieve the situation.
